Here's the spiral scarf pattern:
Cast on 90 sts
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit into front and back of every stitch
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: Knit into front and back of every stitch
Row 5: Knit
Row 6: Knit into front and back of every stitch
Row 7: Knit
Bind off
She used less than two skeins of Trendsetter Dune with #13 needles. Apparently using larger needles and a thinner yarn helps the spirals.

P.S. I made one this weekend and the freakin' last two rows took like two hours EACH! oh my god I have not been that frustrated in a long time. It is a nice look though. I ended up using two whole skeins plus a cast-on row of Colinette and half of the bind-off row in some other yarn because I ran out. It still looks nice.
