This is what I did when I sat in on a class with Debby New. She was teaching us freeform kniting. It was a lot of fun and I have since picked up a Valentina Devine sweater pattern which I will try to do in this fashion. A friend at the shop, Yvonne, is really good at this and made a beautiful purse... but I'm not so great yet! ;) (though I think i would have done better with my own yarn! this was all the practice yarn they had at the shop).
